AbstractObjective:To systematically review the clinical effectiveness of intradermal needle on post-stroke dysphagia. Methods:Randomized controlled trials, which were related to clinical efficacy of intradermal needle on post-stroke dysphagia, were searched in the Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,EMbase,CNKI,WanFang Database,CBM,and VIP.The retrieval time was from the inception to March 31,2023.After independent literature screening, data extraction and quality assessment by two researchers,RevMan 5.3 was used for Meta-analysis.Results:The Meta-analysis results showed that the total effective rate of the experimental group after treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group(OR=4.29,95%CI 2.70-6.82,P<0.000 01).The scores of the Water Swallowing Test(WST)(MD=-0.63,95%CI -0.84--0.42,P<0.000 01),Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA)(MD=-3.46,95%CI -4.61--2.30,P<0.000 01) and Swallow Quality of Life Questionnaire(SWAL-QOL)(MD=22.07,95%CI 2.93-41.20,P=0.02) were significantly superior in the experimental group than those in the control group. Conclusion:Current evidence shows that intradermal needle could improve the swallowing function and quality of life of patients with post-stroke dysphagia.
