In recent years， Longyou has consistently kept in mind its solemn responsibilities， breaking through various constraints on development and accelerating its progress. Using farmers’ concentration and transformation as a breakthrough， Longyou has sped up the renovation and upgrading of the traditional industries. The county has continuously promoted balanced and accessible basic public services， while persistently focusing on the construction of basic units and the interactive empowerment of resources， industries and cultural tourism. As a result， Longyou has accomplished a remarkable transformation from its former status as a small mountainous county and major agricultural county to a county with strong industry and a “small county， big city” model.
