Influencing factors of herpes zoster vaccination intention in middle-aged and elderly people：a Meta-analysis

Abstract Objective：To systematically evaluate the influencing factors of herpes zoster vaccination intention in middle-aged and elderly people，and provide reference for formulating vaccination strategy.Methods：Cross-section studies on the influencing factors of herpes zoster vaccination intention in middle-aged and elderly people were searched by computer，including PubMed，the Cochrane Library，EMbase，Web of Science，WanFang Database，VIP，CNKI，and CBM. The search period was self-established until December 18，2023. Literature screening，data extraction and quality evaluation were conducted independently by two researchers，and Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 software.Results：A total of 10 articles were included，involving 2 058 884 middle-aged and elderly patients. Meta-analysis showed that the risk of herpes zoster virus infection （OR=1.61，95%CI 1.50-1.74，P<0.000 01），professional recommendation （OR=5.92，95%CI 3.97-8.83，P<0.000 01），have received at least one recommended vaccine （OR=3.27，95%CI 2.09-5.01，P<0.000 01），know the existence of the herpes zoster vaccine （OR=2.89，95%CI 2.17-3.85，P<0.000 01） was the promoting factor for the willingness of middle-aged and elderly people to receive herpes zoster vaccine，while worry （OR=2.07，95%CI 1.51-2.83，P<0.000 01） was the hindrance factor.Conclusions：Existing evidence shows that risk of infection，professional recommendation，having received at least one recommended vaccine，and knowing the existence of the herpes zoster vaccine are the promotion factors of shingles vaccination intention in middle-aged and elderly people. The influence of education，age，and knowledge of other people′s illness on shingles vaccination intention in middle-aged and elderly people cannot be proved.
