Summary of best evidence for dyskinesia assessment and multi-sensory stimulation intervention in stroke patients

Abstract Objective：To systematically retrieve，evaluate，and summarize the best evidence on assessment of dyskinesia assessment and multi-sensory stimulation interventions in stroke patients to inform clinical practice.Methods：According to the "6S" evidence pyramid model，systematically search CNKI，WanFang Database，VIP，SinoMed，PubMed，Web of Science，EMbase，the Cochrane Library，GIN，SIGN，NGC and other databases and websites on dyskinesia assessment and multi-sensory stimulation intervention in stroke patients.The types of literature searched include clinical decisions，guidelines，evidence summaries，systematic reviews，expert consensus，and randomized controlled trials（RCTs）. The timeframe for the search was from library construction to January 31，2023. Literature screening，quality evaluation，data extraction and evidence summarization were performed independently by 2 systematically trained investigators.Results：A total of 16 articles were included，including 9 guidelines，3 systematic evaluations and 4 RCTs，which were summarized to form a total of 28 pieces of best evidence on 9 topics，including screening and assessment for movement disorders，timing of assessment，and frequency of assessment，timing of intervention for multisensory stimulation，intensity of intervention，and interventions，as well as safety and security，family support，and health guidance.Conclusion：This study summarizes the best evidence for dyskinesia assessment and multi-sensory stimulation interventions in stroke patients，providing evidence-based evidence to support clinical practice.
