Risk elements for concurrent malnutrition in maintenance hemodialysis patients：a Meta-analysis

Abstract Objective：To systematically evaluate the influencing factors of malnutrition in maintenance hemodialysis patients.Methods：Computerized search CNKI，WanFang Database，VIP，CBM，PubMed，Web of Science，EMbase，OVID，the Cohrane Library，EBSCO for the risk factors of concomitant malnutrition in hemodialysis patients. Literature related to the risk factors of concurrent malnutrition in hemodialysis patients was searched from the establishment of the database to July 31，2023，and Meta-analysis of the included literature was performed using Stata 17.0 software.Results：A total of 18 articles were included，including 1，640 cases in the malnutrition group and 1，923 cases in the normal nutrition group.Meta-analysis showed that body mass index （BMI），presence of diabetes mellitus，and adequacy of dialysis were the factors influencing malnutrition complication in maintenance hemodialysis patients.Conclusion：Available evidence suggests that BMI，presence of diabetes mellitus，and adequacy of dialysis are influential factors in the development of multiple malnutrition in maintenance hemodialysis patients，and that healthcare professionals should identify and take appropriate preventive and curative measures at an early stage in order to minimize the risk of malnutrition and improve the overall health of patients.
